We are thrilled to announce that we have achieved 100% compliance within the Gatsby Benchmarks

The eight Benchmarks have been set out by the Department for Education to serve as a framework for careers provision in all schools and colleges. This week, Mark Turnbull from the Heart of the South West Careers Hub joined us to present us with our 100% Achievement. Certificate.

Jacqui Royse, our Deputy head, and Careers Leader, had this to say about our success:

“I am incredibly proud that we have retained 100% on each of the Gatsby Benchmarks, demonstrating that we continue to provide a robust careers and guidance program to support our pupils in making meaningful decisions about their future, armed with the tools and knowledge they need to be successful.

I would like to thank all alumni, further education & sixth form colleges, higher education establishments, employers, and partners such as Next Steps SW, Careers SW, Peninsula Training, The Careers & Enterprise Company and Heart of the South West Careers Hub for all they support throughout the school year – together we all make a difference to the pupils of Great Torrington School.”
