Rewards & Consequences

We strongly believe that pupils deserve recognition for effort, service and achievement whilst at GTS. The school therefore has a system of rewards to acknowledge pupils’ positive attributions to GTS. Pupils are frequently reminded of their rewards points and their tutor group position is revealed in half termly rewards assembly. The house with the most rewards points at the end of year is awarded the ‘Ash Cup’. In the summer term, we hold a formal Awards Day which also aims to give full recognition of pupils’ achievement within subject areas and wider school community.

When pupils do not meet our expectations, we will apply sanctions that hold them accountable for their behaviours and work together to avoid negative behaviours reoccurring. Please see our behaviour policy for more detailed information.
