Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to reassure you that the safety of our pupils is of paramount importance at our school.

Yesterday's partial lockdown and attendance by Police was a precautionary measure, following a report of a potential external risk posed by two teenage boys outside the school. However, please let me be clear, there were no issues within the school grounds.

All pupils and staff were safe, with lessons continuing as normal. That remains the case, with the perimeter of the school locked throughout the school day as usual.

We have spoken to all pupils to remind them that our school is a safe space for them, and we would like to thank all pupils and staff again for how they conducted themselves during this matter.

We are continuing to work with Devon & Cornwall Police while they carry out their investigation, and while this is ongoing, we cannot add anything further.

We would like to thank the Police officers for providing a reassuring presence yesterday and again today.
