Attendance and Inclusion Officer

Salary: D Grade starting at point 8 and rising to point 12

£26,824 to £28,598 per annum (pro rata)

£13.90 to £14.82 hourly rate

Hours: 975 hours per annum (25 hours per week, 39 weeks a year)

8am to 1pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility in hours to enable the coordination of home visits

Term time only plus 5 non-pupil days

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, proactive, and dedicated Attendance and Inclusion Officer to join our school and play a vital role in supporting and improving pupil attendance.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building positive relationships with pupils and families, improving outcomes, and contributing to the wider ethos of the school.

As our Attendance and Inclusion Officer you will be central to identifying and removing barriers to attendance, ensuring every pupil has the best possible chance to succeed.  You will work as part of an established and supportive pastoral team, committed to making a difference in the lives of young people

There is the potential that the role may expand in collaboration with other schools as the role develops, this can be discussed further at interview.

You will be:

  • Highly organised, accurate, and confident in managing data
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations
  • Passionate about supporting young people and improving life chances
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively with colleagues and external agencies
  • Confident using IT systems and committed to maintaining confidentiality at all times
