Work for pupils isolating due to COVID-19 symptoms

Year 7

Please continue to review introducing yourself. From memory, you should be able to:

  • Say your name
  • Spell your name
  • Say how you are and give a reason
  • Say where you live

Next, we will be learning to say what your personality is.
Sentence builders are available through Portico in the MFL folder – KS3 Spanish – M1 Mi vida, mi familia y mis amigos.

Click on courses from the tool bar. Next, click on Viva 1. Then, Module 1 Mi vida. Select Unit 2. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises.
For further work there is a cultural extension: Find out about the Spanish Speaking World and create a display piece/ record a presentation or make a video about it.

Year 8

Please continue to review likes and dislikes regarding school days and school subjects.
We will be moving on to look at school uniform. Sentence builders are available through Portico in the MFL folder – KS3 Spanish – M1 Mi insti y mi rutina diaria.

Click on courses from the tool bar. Next, click on Viva 1 (2nd edition). Then, Module 3 Mi insti. Select Unit 1. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises. Repeat this process with Unit 2
For further work, you can revise any of the units from Viva 1(2nd edition), Modules 1 and 2 or complete the cultural extension: Find out about schools in Spain/ The Spanish Education System and create a guide for families moving to Spain.

Year 9

Please continue to review saying where you went on holiday, who with how you travelled and where you stayed.
We will be moving on to look at describing what you did using the peretrite tense.

Next, click on Viva 2 (2nd edition).
Module 1 - Unit 1. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises. Repeat this process with units 2, 3 and 4.
Module 5 – Unit 1. As above.

For further work, you can revise any of the units from Viva 1 (2nd edition).

Year 10

We will be continuing to revise talking about what you usually do and moving to look at the near future and what you are going to do next weekend. We will then move on to cover talking about sports and answering the question ‘Are you very sporty?’ which will include a recap of the imperfect tense. There will be PPs available through Portico, KS4 Spanish, M4. You should be able to write answers to Module 4, questions 1, 5, 6 and 7 from the GC questions on pg 198 of the textbook.
Additionally, we have been looking at exam skills and practicing the 40 word and 90 word questions from the writing paper. There are comprehensive resources available through Portico, KS4, Spanish, Revision and Exam prep.
To further support your learning, login to TIL. The high frequency vocab is a really useful section as are the custom nutty tilez. In the grammar section, the present tense, near future, preterite and imperfect are good revision. There are also some videos on free time.

Year 11

We will be continuing to look at future plans and the world of work. You should be able to talk about your personality and what you want to do in the future already. Moving forwards we will be adding to what we have already done on earning money and part time jobs, covering bosses, colleagues and other positives and negatives associated with jobs. PPs are available through Portico.

Select Viva 3 Rojo and complete exercises from Module 2.
You may also want to extend your knowledge by completing Activelearn exercises and work from the online textbook for Module 7, Punto de Partido and Module 1.
