Year 7

From memory, you should be able to:

  • Say how many brothers and sisters you have.

  • Say how old you are and when your birthday is.

  • Describe your character using the verb être in the present tense. Using adjectival agreements: agreeing the noun with the adjective.


  • Learning to say what there is in a classroom. Describing a photo of a classroom.

  • Saying what like to do and understanding what it is to go back to school for different people using infinitives. Understanding infinitives.


Next, we will be learning to say what there is in a classroom and describing a photo of a classroom, as well as saying what you like to do and understanding what it is to go back to school for different people.

Click on courses from the tool bar. Next, click on Dynamo 1. Then, Module 1 La rentrée. Select Unit 2 and then repat for Unit 5. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises.

For further work there is a cultural extension task: Find out about the French Speaking World and create a display piece/ record a presentation or make a video about it.

Year 8

Please continue to review weather, clothes and sports you play.

We will be moving on to look at how you use technology.

Click on courses from the tool bar. Next, click on Dynamo 1. Then, Module 3 Mon temps libre. Select Unit 4. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises. Repeat this process withDynamo 2, Unit 1.

For further work, you can revise any of the units from Dynamo 1, Modules 1 and 2 or complete the module 3, cultural extension 1 available through Portico in the MFL folder – KS3 French – M3 Mon temps libre.

Year 9

Please continue to review saying where you live, rooms in your house and what there is where you live. Also describing what there is in a photo using the WPALM technique. (PP available through Portico – MFL – KS3 French)

Moving forwards we will be looking at where you go at the weekend and making plans.

Year 10

We will be:

  • Discussing community projects using three time frames p 86-87

  • Dong some revision covering p 88-93, p 186-187 and p 201.

  • Starting to answer the GC questions for module 4 p196

Year 11

Revision for mock exams using resources available through Portico, TIL and Activelearn.
