Work for pupils isolating due to COVID-19 symptoms

Year 7

Please continue to review introducing yourself. From memory, you should be able to:

  • Say your name

  • Spell your name

  • Say how you are and provide a reason

  • Say how many brothers and sisters you have.

Next, we will be learning the numbers up to 31 and the months of the year. We will then be learning how to say how old we are and when are birthday is.

Click on courses from the tool bar. Next, click on Dynamo 1. Then, Module 1 La rentrée. Select Unit 1. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises.

For further work there is a cultural extension task: Find out about the French Speaking World and create a display piece/ record a presentation or make a video about it.

Year 8

Please continue to review weather, clothes and sports you play.
We will be continuing to look at sports and leisure with activities that you do.

Click on courses from the tool bar. Next, click on Dynamo 1. Then, Module 3 Mon temps libre. Select Unit 1. Start with the vocab learn, then the vocab tests before moving on to the other exercises. Repeat this process with Unit 2 and 3.
For further work, you can revise any of the units from Dynamo 1, Modules 1 and 2 or complete the module 3, cultural extension 1 available through Portico in the MFL folder – KS3 French – M3 Mon temps libre

Year 9

Please continue to review saying where you live, rooms in your house and what there is where you live. Moving forwards we will be revising sports and learning how to say what opportunities there are for different activities where you live. We will also be looking at describing what there is in a photo using the WPALM technique. (PP available through Portico – MFL – KS3 French)

For further work, you can revise any of the units from Dynamo 1, Modules 1, 2 and 3 or complete the cultural extension:  If you could live anywhere in any French speaking country, where would you live and why? Produce a piece or work explaining your choice.

Year 10

In the next few weeks we will be embedding prior learning, describe your region using negatives and using the word “there”. P76-80 of the French higher textbook
On active learn, you could complete tasks in Module 4 unit 2.

Year 11

We are starting the unit on employment and future plans.  Please do the active learn activities from module 7 and for This is Language, videos from the ‘Education and Work’ section and ‘Future Plans’ from the vocab section.
