Year 5 Day 2019

Posted on: 17/07/2019

On July 5th 2019 GTS were joined by Year 5 pupils from around the area to experience our ‘Year 5 Day’.  All pupils followed a GTS style learning day where they engaged in a number of experiences including learning how to cook, observational art work; stage combat and creating potions any witch or wizard would be proud of! Throughout the activities pupils were supported by Transition Leaders.  During the afternoon they all enjoyed the sunshine with a number of PE activities, organised by our PE team and Sports Leaders.

We are hugely proud of our school and are always happy to welcome visitors. We hope that many of you will be able to take up the opportunity to visit us again in September for our Annual Open Evening for prospective pupils and their parents. This year the event will be held on Thursday 19th Septemberfrom 6.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m. There will be an opportunity to hear from the Headteacher at the beginning of the evening, followed by the freedom to tour the school and talk with staff and pupils who will be happy to respond to any request or query you may have. The evening always attracts many of our eager students to come in and showcase their school. They are wonderful ambassadors and they are willing to tell you as much as they can.

We would also encourage you to visit us during the day, where you will meet a member of Senior Leadership Team and join a tour around the school to see it in action. At the end of the tour you will be able to have a chat with our young Transition Leaders.

This year Open Morning Tours will be held every morning of the week, commencing on Monday 23rd September 2019, from 9.00am – 10.30am.
