Day of Diversity

Posted on: 05/03/2019

We’re really proud of how our school approaches diversity.

On Friday 8th March Year 10 will be involved in our annual event: Day of Diversity.  In the morning the students will be split into six groups and explore what makes a society.  In the afternoon we are lucky enough to have a plethora of visitors showing the diversity of north Devon and charities that show us what a strong society we are.

Some of the visits include:  the North Devon Hospice, The Children’s Hospice, Pete’s Dragon, Torrington Food Bank, Sophie Porter talking about homelessness, Edukid, The Air ambulance, NDADA, The Iron Lady and others talking about their ethnicity and their time in Britain etc.

We are all looking forward to it and hope our Year 10s are too and approach the day with a positive mindset.

Any questions please feel free to email me at
