Community Volunteering Opportunity

Our local library in Torrington would like to recruit some young volunteers to help out at weekends and all year round.

By volunteering at the library you will develop new skills, meet new people and help others visiting the library.  If you would like to know more please pop into the town library or visit Mrs Leonard if you are interested.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is still stuck on what to do for their Duke of Edinburgh volunteering section.

Dinner Money

A reminder that the default maximum spend in the canteen or vending machine is £4.50 per day. You are not allowed to spend over this amount even if you have money left on your account. Some people will have a smaller allowance as your parents’ may have reduced the amount you can spend in a day.  If you need to check what your allowance is for the day, please pop in to Mrs Faulkner in the Finance Office.

If your parents would like to change your allowance more or less than the default, please ask them to call Mrs Faulkner on 01805 623 531 ext. 229 or email rfaulkner@gts.devon.sch.uk

Picking up and dropping off

Polite reminder – If you drop your child off at school on the Calvesford Road side – please drive onto site and up alongside the dining hall, where you can safely drop your child. Please do not stop at the entrance where you are a hazard to others.

The final session of E & I is next week 14th March. The new rotation starts on 21st March until the end of the summer term. New timetables will be issued to your tutors.
