Welcome to the Great Torrington School Library! Open 8.15 to 4.15 each day.

The Library is at the centre of the school and is staffed by Mrs Suzanne Fawcitt and Mrs Ruth Ward. We are supported by the comprehensive Devon School Library Service and our materials are carefully selected by staff and pupils to fully support the curriculum and pastoral needs of all of our students. There are new titles arriving all of the time and requests for books are easily accommodated with such an extensive stock.

We are the home of the daily morning Reading Club, offering paired reading with supervised pupils helping those who want to practice and improve their reading skills.

It is an airy and comfortable place to study or read and we are pleased to welcome pupils that have a strong desire to work quietly and use the facilities with respect. Classes from all subjects use the Library daily and we like to display the work of our students for everyone to enjoy.
